Prerequisites
- A Flowra account at flowra.dev
- At least one project selected in the sidebar switcher
- The End user switcher on Default user (or the person you are testing as) — see External users switcher
Steps
1
Open Chat
Go to Chat. The page title is Chat. Threads from past conversations appear in the sidebar (for the selected end user).
2
Pick or create an agent
Use the agent selector dropdown to choose which workflow/agent answers. To create one, open Workflows & Agents, click Create Agent, set a name and instructions under Identity and Intelligence, attach tools under Actions if needed, then Create Agent. You can also use Create by AI (or ask the in-product assistant), then review the tabs and save in the editor. Full settings map: Workflows in the dashboard.
3
Connect accounts if tools need login
Confirm the End user switcher matches who should own the OAuth link. Open Connection, connect the toolkit, and complete OAuth. Then set the default connection on the workflow if the UI asks for it.
4
Send a message
In Chat, select your agent and send a clear task (for example: “Summarize my unread emails and draft a reply”). Watch tool activity in the transcript. If browser automation runs, a live browser panel may appear beside the chat.
5
Optional: add other entry points
To wake the same agent from Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, Slack, a schedule, a site widget, or MCP, open the agent and use the Entry points tab. See Entry points and channels.
6
Inspect the run if something fails
Open Executions for step-level history, or Tool execution logs for individual tool failures. Re-check Connection and the End user switcher if you see auth errors.
Tips
- Confirm the correct project and end user before you debug “missing” workflows or knowledge.
- Prefer a small tool set on the first agent; add more after a successful test.
- For customer-facing chat on your website, use a widget bound to a hardened workflow.
