# Embed a widget

> Create a chat widget, copy the embed URL, and smoke-test it on a page.

**Goal:** Show a working chat bubble on a test page.

## Prerequisites

* A workflow you trust for public or staging use (limited tools)
* Access to paste an iframe or script on a page you control

## Steps

  <Step title="Harden the agent">
    Open the agent, trim tools and knowledge under **Actions**, review **Behavior** for public use, and save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the widget">
    Open [Widgets](https://flowra.dev/dashboard/workflows/widgets), or add a chat widget from the agent’s **Entry points** tab. Bind the agent, set colors and position, and save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the embed URL">
    Copy the widget id and use:

    ```text theme={null}
    https://flowra.dev/embed/chat?widgetId=YOUR_WIDGET_ID
    ```

    Or paste the snippet the dashboard provides.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Smoke-test">
    Open the URL in a private window (or load your iframe/script page). Send a test message and confirm the correct agent answers. The visitor appears as an [external user](/product/external-users) with source **Widget**.

## Verify

* Widget shows as active in the dashboard
* Embed loads branding you configured
* No private tools fire for a stranger’s session
