# Toolkit & custom tools

> Create and manage local toolkits and custom HTTP/JS tools in your project

Toolkit slug: **`flowra`**.

Use these tools to build **project-scoped** toolkits and tools (custom integrations) without leaving Flowra.

| Slug | Name | What it does |
| - | - | - |
| `FLOWRA_CREATE_OR_UPDATE_TOOLKIT` | Create or update toolkit | Create or update a toolkit; use returned id when saving tools. |
| `FLOWRA_CREATE_OR_UPDATE_TOOL` | Create or update tool | Create or update one tool (slug, schema, script) in the current project. |
| `FLOWRA_GET_TOOL_DETAILS` | Get Tool Details | Look up a tool by id or slug (schema, script, toolkit). |
| `FLOWRA_GET_TOOLKIT_DETAILS` | Get Toolkit Details | Look up a toolkit by id or slug. |
| `FLOWRA_DELETE_TOOL` | Delete Tool | Delete a local tool (confirmation flow). |
| `FLOWRA_DELETE_TOOLKIT` | Delete Toolkit | Delete a toolkit and its tools (confirmation flow). |
| `FLOWRA_TEST_HTTP_REQUEST` | Test HTTP Request | Send a test HTTP request and inspect the response (for building API tools). |
| `FLOWRA_TOOLS_BUILDER` | Tools builder | All-in-one helper to build or update a tool and toolkit from cURL, OpenAPI, or a description (legacy path; prefer create/update tools below when possible). |

## Building custom tools

Typical flow today:

1. **`FLOWRA_TEST_HTTP_REQUEST`** — probe the API and inspect the response shape.
2. **`FLOWRA_CREATE_OR_UPDATE_TOOLKIT`** — create the toolkit (auth scheme, metadata).
3. **`FLOWRA_CREATE_OR_UPDATE_TOOL`** — define slug, input/output schema, and executor script.
4. **`FLOWRA_GET_TOOL_DETAILS`** — verify before attaching to a [workflow](/guides/native-tools/workflow).

Older session-based slugs (`FLOWRA_ADD_FILE_ENDPOINTS_TO_TOOLS`, `FLOWRA_PREVIEW_TOOLS_ENDPOINTS`, etc.) are **not registered** as native tools anymore.

From your backend you can also create tools via the [Tools](/guides/tools) API (`tools.create` / `toolkits.create` in the SDK) after a successful [sandbox](/guides/sandbox) preview.
